Working with consumer sentiment
The Consumer Sentiment display has the following sections:
- Overview of consumer sentiment results
- Top sentiments
- Details
Consumer Sentiment results are returned from English, French, German, and Japanese sources. They are not returned from Chinese sources.
Overview
The consumer sentiment Overview section displays the following charts:
- Net Results: shows the percentages of positive sentiments and negative sentiments
- Likes vs. Dislikes: shows the numbers and the percentages of likes and dislikes
- Appreciations vs. Deficiencies vs. Failures: a pie chart showing the numbers and the percentages of appreciations, deficiencies, and failures
- Positive Comparisons vs. Negative Comparisons vs. Neutral Comparisons: a pie chart showing the numbers and the percentages of positive, negative, and neutral comparisons
Click a category link (such as Likes, Dislikes, etc.) to view details about that category.
Top Sentiments
The Top Sentiments section displays a list of charts that present up to three of the top sentiments from each category. For example:
Move the cursor over a sentiment in the list to view a citation with details about the sentiment.
Details
The Details section displays results in category boxes containing answers in the same way as are shown in the other search results views.
