Viewing the patent text

When you open the patent text (or abstract, if full text is not available), the extracted sentence is highlighted in the text.

Enlarging or reducing the front-page image

The Patent Fulltext window displays the image that appears on the front page of the original patent document. If no image exists on the front page of the original patent document, no image is shown in the Patent Fulltext window.

• To enlarge the image, click Enlarge Image below the image graphic.
• To reduce the enlarged image, click Reduce Image.

To print the patent text

• Click Print, select the appropriate printing options, and then click OK.

Viewing the original patent document (PDF)

You must have Adobe Reader 6.0 or later installed on your computer to view patent PDF documents.

To access the patent document from the Patent Fulltext window, click Open PDF. This opens the patent in Adobe Reader.

Viewing a summary of the patent

• Click View Summary at the top of the Fulltext window.

Saving or exporting the patent text

• Click Save to My Data at the top of the Fulltext window.

To export the Fulltext patent to a file

• Click Export at the top of the Fulltext window.
