Customizing the Problems and Solutions table
To display the Customize dialog box, at the top of the Problems and Solutions table, click Customize Table.
You can customize the presentation of problems and solutions in the Problems and Solutions table by selecting the desired options in the Customize dialog box. You can do the following:
- Choose which columns to display and which ones to hide
- Change the order of the columns
- Create new, custom columns
- Make your current customization selections the default for all of your new models.
To select columns to display
- Under Select columns to display, select the check box of each column you want to display.
- Clear the check boxes of columns you want to hide.
To rearrange the displayed order of columns
- Under Select columns to display, click the name of a column to select it.
- Click Move Up or Move Down to move the column to the location that you want. Or simply drag and drop the column to the position where you want it.
The Problem Name and Problem Description columns always move together, as do the Solution Name and Solution Description columns.
To add or modify a custom column
- To add a new column, click Add. To modify an existing custom column, double-click it.
- Type a name for the column.
To delete a custom column
- Click the name of the column you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
To associate the custom column with a problem or a solution
- Under Associate with, click either Problem or Solution. If you click Problem, the cells in the new column will be associated with problem cells in the table; if you click Solution, the cells in the new column will be associated with solution cells in the table.
To make the current customization the default
- Select the Make this selection the default for all my new models check box.
