Editing a query

To open the Edit Query dialog box, on the My Queries & Alerts tab of the My Queries & Alerts page, click Edit Query next to the alert that you want to modify.

To rename a query

  • Click in the Query Name box to change the name.

To modify the search criteria

  • Click in the Query box to modify the query. Click Advanced to enter a more complex query.
  • Click one of the following to choose where you want to search:
    • Accuris Content
    • Articles
    • Patents
    • Corporate

indicates that all available knowledge bases are currently selected. indicates that only some, but not all, available knowledge bases are currently selected.

To change how often to run a scheduled query

  • Select the appropriate option from the Frequency list. The next update occurs at this interval from the date that you edit the query.

To save your changes and exit the Edit Query window

  • Click Save Changes.

Modifying e-mail alerts

For each scheduled query, Goldfire can send you an automated e-mail message whenever new results are found. You can specify that the e-mail message be sent to multiple e-mail addresses. Goldfire will send a separate e-mail message for each scheduled query that has found new results.

The e-mail message also includes up to five new results from corporate knowledge bases and up to five new results from patents & articles knowledge bases. In the message, the results are presented as answers & citations.

To turn on automatic e-mail alerts

  1. Select the E-mail Alerts check box.
  2. In the text box, type one or more e-mail addresses, separated by semicolons.

To turn off automatic e-mail alerts

  • Clear the E-mail Alerts check box.
